Land O’Lakes-Kiel produces 40-pound blocks of natural cheese; primarily cheddar cheese. The Kiel facility also produces sweet whey powder. The cheese plant was built in 1948 as a cheddar plant; it has a rich history as one of the premium cheddar plants in the United States. The plant has won numerous cheese awards in the past and presently, continuing its legacy as a high quality 40 lb. block plant.
